Free Up Space for iOS — Last updated February 24, 2026
Free Up Space does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Period.
Free Up Space requests access to your Photo Library to display your videos and photos, their file sizes, and metadata (resolution, date, duration). This access is used solely to show you information on your device.
When you grant photo library access, the app reads metadata (file sizes, dimensions, dates, media subtypes) and displays thumbnails. When you choose to delete items, the app uses Apple's PhotoKit framework, which triggers iOS's built-in deletion confirmation. Deleted items go to iOS's "Recently Deleted" album for 30 days before permanent removal.
Your sort preferences and settings are stored locally on your device using iOS's standard UserDefaults. No data is stored remotely or in iCloud by this app.
We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
If we ever change this policy, we will update this page. Given that the app collects no data, we don't anticipate changes.
