Common Questions

Q: Why does the app show Zero KB on device for my videos/photos?
If you have iCloud Photos with "Optimize iPhone Storage" enabled, your original files are in iCloud. The optimized thumbnails on your device are managed by iOS and can't be measured by third-party apps.

Q: Does deleting files in Free Up Space permanently delete them?
No. Deleted files go to your "Recently Deleted" album in the Photos app, where they stay for 30 days. You can recover them during that time, or empty Recently Deleted to immediately reclaim the space.

Q: Does this app access the internet?
No. Free Up Space has zero network capability. It cannot connect to the internet.
